Uganda confirms imported Ebola case from DRC
On May 15 [2026]，ウガンダにおいてエボラ輸入感染例 an imported Ebola case, specifically the Bundibugyo strain が確認され，隣国コンゴ民主共和国の国民 the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) で，[14 May 2026] Kampala の病院で死亡した。採取された検体を中央公衆衛生研究所 the Central Public Health Laboratories in Wandegeya で検査した結果，a case of the Bundibugyo strain of Ebola と確認された。コンゴ民主共和国からの輸入感染例 an imported case from the DRC となる。現時点で国内の感染伝播は確認されていない。保健省によると，死亡した59歳男性は5月11日に Kibuli Muslim Hospital in Kampala, the Ugandan capital に入院し，呼吸困難，発熱，上腹部痛，嘔気，排尿困難の症状を発症したのち，死亡した。入院中に状態が悪化し，集中治療室内で出血症状を発症し死亡したと説明されている。遺体は5月14日にコンゴ民主共和国に搬送された。

・ 全国では2026年初からの3か月間に保健省が2万5094例を確認しており，2025年同期の5外を超えており，南部地域で最も深刻な感染状況となっている。
