Summary

コンゴ民主共和国で17番目となる the Bundibugyo virus によるエボラ・アウトブレイク 17th Ebola outbreak は、2026年5月17日に PHEIC が宣言され、across Ituri, North Kivu, and South Kivu provinces に感染が拡大し、国境を越えてウガンダの首都でも感染が確認されている。

・ 2026年6月9日付けの Africa CDC Issue No. 23 で、645例の確定診断例 confirmed Bundibugyo virus disease cases と114例の死亡 deaths among confirmed cases across the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Uganda が報告され、確定例の致死率 a confirmed case fatality rate of 17.7% である。

・ 26 health zones in DRC and one district in Uganda の地域で発生が確認されている。

・過去24時間に DRC 国内で新たに 37例 new confirmed cases and 12 deaths among confirmed cases が報告され、すべて Ituri Province からの報告であった。

New cases were reported from Bunia, Rwampara, Mongbwalu, Tchomia, and Lita Health Zones.

・ Tchomia からはじめて感染が報告され、発生地域の数 the number of affected health zones in Ituri が増加した。

・ウガンダからは、新たな報告はなかった no new confirmed cases, deaths, suspected cases, recoveries, or newly listed contacts during the same reporting period.

・依然として Ituri が発生の中心地 the epicenter accounting for approximately 93%of reported confirmed cases in the country となっている。

・ウガンダでは、19例 confirmed cases and two deaths among confirmed cases, including 14 imported cases and five locally acquired cases が報告されており、うち13例が専用治療施設で入院治療中である。

・ Africa CDC issued interim guidance on enhanced surveillance at points of entry and exit for Bundibugyo virus disease.

・想定される曝露地点は、男性が清掃を行った、コウモリが生息していた可能性のある godown (storage facility) で、a probable zoonotic spillover event と考えられる。

・ the "Hutong" premises on Shanghai Street, Mong Kok, on 23 May 2026 を訪れた58歳男性がエムポックス Mpox と診断された ; 2026年6月3日に発疹の症状を発症し、同5日に採取された検体の検査で陽性と確認された。

・この施設に関係する症例は合計5例となり、うち2例は中国本土から報告された。いずれも互いを見知らず high-risk activities with strangers at the premises を行っていた。

・この施設は5月26日に閉鎖されている。5月1日以降に訪れた300名以上への連絡がついている。

ケララ州 Wayanad, Kerala, India で赤痢アウトブレイク Shigellosis outbreak 報告

Key findings

・ Kerala 州で学生らの胃腸疾患が発生し Sulthan Bathery, Wayanad district において赤痢アウトブレイク a shigellosis outbreak が確認された。生徒3名の検体で検査陽性が確認された。

・アウトブレイクが確認されてから、443人が医療施設を受診し、68人が入院した。

・アウトブレイクに関係する4歳児1人の死亡が発生した。

Summary

20年以上の中欧におけるダニの遺伝学的解析の結果、オーストリアのダニではじめて The Alongshan virus が確認された。患者の検体でウイルスが確認されたことはないが、過去の感染を示唆する抗体が確認されている。中国ではじめて発見されたこのウイルスは、現在オーストリアの複数の地域で感染循環していることがわかった。
