2026年6月29日Haut-Ulélé において輸入感染例が確認され、4か所目 a fourth province in DRC での確認となった。
7月9日には Kisangani, the capital of Tshopo Province から2例が確認されたが、1例には地域外との関連が認められない a geographic link beyond Kisangani ため、地域内での感染が示唆され調査が続けられている。
2026年6月24日、コンゴ民主共和国での人道支援活動後フランスに帰国した医療従事者の輸入感染例 An exported case of Bundibugyo が報告された。
同7月10日、コンゴ民主共和国の支援団体 the humanitarian organization Samaritan's Purse に属する米国民1名のウイルス Bundibugyo virus 検査陽性が the US CDC により確認された。
