4人の手荷物取扱担当者 baggage handlers が、蚊族の刺咬後にマラリア malaria に感染したとみられ、An urgent warning が発出されている。航空機内に潜んで運ばれた1匹の蚊族により感染したと見られているが、アウトブレイクの感染源は特定されていない。"airport malaria" とよばれ、感染症の常在地域への渡航のない人々が感染する。
今回の Frankfurt Airport におけるマラリア感染が判明したのは 2026年7月16日のことで、感染は数日前に起きていたと報じられている。空港職員らに対して自身の体調に注意し、高熱などの症状があればすぐに当局に報告するよう呼びかけられている。
英国民に人気のギリシャ中部で発生したサルモネラ感染症アウトブレイクでは、2ダース以上の人々が医療機関を受診し、汚染があるとみられる食品 a suspected contaminated food batch in Lamia が原因と考えられている。
また英国保健当局 the UK Health Security Agency は、2026年のジカ輸入感染例 Zika virus cases imported into the UK がすでに 2025 numbers を超えたとのデータを公表している。2026年1月から6月までの間に８件の感染が記録され、半数がインドネシア由来であった。

・ 発生のピークは epidemiological week 19 (ending 16 May 2026), with 27 confirmed cases で、week 24 onward にかけて減少しており、降水量と洪水が減ったことが寄与したとみられている。

2022年に始まったジフテリア・アウトブレイクによる患者の増加が続いており、2022年から2026年までの間に6万5759例 suspected diphtheria cases と2229例の死亡が報告された。
国内の小児のジフテリア・破傷風・百日咳（DTP）ワクチンの接種率は、1回接種でわずか70％、3回の接種を完了した割合は62％にとどまる。
