・ Epidemiological surveillance week 27 bulletin で報告されたのは 87 severe cases and 78 cases of dengue with warning signs and 8 cases of dengue P. vivax（三日熱マラリア）。
・5州 — Sonora (898 cases), Veracruz (499), Tabasco (440), Sinaloa (430–439), and Baja California Sur (178) — がおよそ 77% of all confirmed national cases を占め、重症例 severe dengue については Sinaloa leads with 30 cases, followed by Veracruz and Sonora with 13 severe cases each の順となる。

・ フランクフルト空港 Frankfurt Airport, Germany の荷物取扱担当者 employees in the baggage handling department 4名の、マラリア malaria 感染が確認されたと 2026年7月16日に発表された。
・ 国際便により輸入されたハマダラカ an Anopheles mosquito による感染と、コッホ研究所 The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) はみているが、どのフライトであったかは報告時点で判っていない。
・ 4人の患者すべてについて、the Frankfurt public health department が調査を行っており、渡航者あるいは公衆衛生上のリスクの増加はないことが確認されている。
・ The RKI によると、これ以前にドイツ国内で case of airport malaria in Germany が確認されたのは 2023年でおなじく Frankfurt Airport であった。世界中では between 1969 and 2024 に 145 airport malaria cases が記録され、このうち9件がドイツの症例だった。

コンゴ民主共和国のエボラ出血熱アウトブレイク The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo により少なくとも930人が死亡したと、2026年7月20日に保健省が発表した。アフリカ CDC The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) は、危機の原因となっているウイルス the Bundibugyo pathogen に対し、他の型のエボラウイルスのワクチンが有効であるかの試験 a possible trial を開始した。今回のエボラ出血熱アウトブレイクは PHEIC 宣言から2か月以上が経過し、数々の点で the fastest-growing ever となっている。
The WHO は先週、新規感染例の80%以上がリスト known contact lists 以外の患者で、追跡方法 track and trace protocols が多くの感染伝播チェーンを見逃している可能性があると述べている。
過去24時間に37例の死亡例が記録され、1日あたりでもっとも多い記録日の１つとなった。

2014年－2016年に西アフリカ諸国で発生し1万1300人以上が死亡した史上最悪のエボラ出血熱アウトブレイクにより、原因となったウイルス the Zaire ebolavirus species responsible に対するワクチン the Ervebo vaccine by Merck, which is known as MSD outside North America が開発された。今回のアウトブレイク the current DR Congo Ebola crisis の病原ウイルスは The Bundibugyo pathogen でワクチンも治療薬もない。
The Africa CDC and partners は、コンゴ民主共和国東部の最前線で働く医療従事者の、2種類のワクチンの併用試験 a trial of a two-vaccine combination on frontline health workers in eastern Congo を検討している。
１回目の接種 The first dose は the Ervebo vaccine, the second は an experimental jab against the Sudan ebolavirus species になるとみられており、早ければ 21 Jul 2026 にも the Africa CDC's executive committee への使用承認申請が行われる。
この方法は、Ervebo がすでに通常の承認を得ている点で the practical advantage がある。

・ On 19 Jul 2026、米国・食品医薬品局 the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) は、メキシコの農場 Taylor Farms de Mexico から提出されたレタスの検体について、当初サイクロスポーラ陽性 positive Cyclospora result としていた検査結果を a false positive に訂正した。再評価 Laboratory re-evaluation で true amplification を反映していないことが明らかになった。現時点で陽性と確認された食品はない no product samples had been confirmed positive for Cyclospora 。
・ この修正による自主回収や調査対象の変更はない。
・ 疫学および追跡の証拠では、依然として Taylor Farms de Mexico の細切りレタス shredded iceberg lettuce が、Taco Bell locations in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia が関係する疾病の原因であることを示しているが、微生物学的な確定には至っていない。
