[1] Africa CDC and WHO welcome the allocation of Ebola vaccines to the Democratic Republic of the Congo

先週、コンゴ民主共和国政府当局 the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) から、エボラ出血熱ワクチン供給 a release of Ervebo vaccines from the global Ebola virus disease vaccine stockpile, managed by the International Coordinating Group on Vaccine Provision (ICG) の要請が示された。現在発生中のアウトブレイク the current Bundibugyo virus disease outbreak での使用を目的としている。
Ervebo vaccine はエボラウイルス病アウトブレイク outbreaks of Ebola virus disease (previously called Zaire ebolavirus) に対する承認を取得し使用されている。
2026年8月17日、the ICG から the DRC government に対し、7万ドースの緊急出荷 an immediate initial release of 70 000 doses が通知された。
the Bundibugyo virus への効果を確認するための第3相臨床試験用の2万ドースと、
the current recommendations of the WHO Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (SAGE) に従って活動する医療従事者 frontline and health workers 用の5万ドースに振り分けられる。
ヒトにおいて、 Ervebo による the Bundibugyo virus に対する感染予防効果は確かめられていない（判っていない）が、初期の実験および動物でのデータ Early laboratory and animal data ではある程度の防護作用が示唆されている。
Since the establishment of ICG Ebola mechanism in 2021 until July 2026, over 56 000 doses of Ervebo vaccine have been allocated to respond to Ebola virus outbreaks in DRC.
A further 167 000 doses have been used in preventive campaigns for health and frontline workers in DRC, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Sierra Leone and Uganda.

コンゴ民主共和国におけるエボラ出血熱の症例 The Democratic Republic of Congo's confirmed Ebola virus caseload が8月19日 5000例を超えた。
保健省の最新報告によると confirmed cases は 5021, including 2378 deaths, since the outbreak was declared in mid-May [2026] となった。 55 health zones across 6 provinces: Haut-Uele, Ituri, North Kivu, South Kivu, Bas-Uele and Tshopo に発生が及んでおり、Ituri が依然として the epicenter of the outbreak であり、地域内での感染伝播が継続している。
首都への感染拡大防止のため、Kinshasa から約65kmの位置にある河川の監視強化 reinforced surveillance along the Congo River が行われている。
The World Health Organization は18日、the current Ebola outbreak in Congo remains a public health emergency of international concern と述べた。
the Bundibugyo strain による今回の流行は the 2018-2020 Ebola outbreak in eastern Congo を超えている。

DOH says leptospirosis cases down 35%, 3.1M prophylaxis caps ready

保健当局 The Department of Health (DOH) が19日、8月8日時点のレプトスピラ症 leptospirosis cases の報告数が 3,440例となったが、2025年同時期までに記録されていた 5,318 cases に比べ35％減少したと明らかにした。
暦年比較では全体として減少傾向にあるものの、2026年7月12日から25日の2週間に348例が記録され、6月28日から7月11日までの2週間との比較では27％増加した。

Belgian Salmonella outbreak climbs to 300 cases

初期の段階で鶏舎 a Laerco chicken coop のダストからサルモネラ菌 Salmonella が検出され、その後の解析で患者で確認された菌と同型 the same type と確認された。卵が原因とされているベルギーのサルモネラ感染症アウトブレイクにより多数の患者が発生している。5月に236例であったところ、the Salmonella Enteritidis outbreak により300人が発症したと、食品安全監視当局 The Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FASFC) が明らかにした。患者の年齢は1歳未満から96歳までで、嘔吐と下痢などの症状が見られている。発症の時期は、2025年2月19日から2026年7月25日までである。
Laerco BV が、サルモネラ菌汚染の疑いがあるとして2度目の卵の回収 a second withdrawal and recall of eggs in August stamped with certain codes を発表した。1度目は5月だった。
a Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) notification によると、これらの卵は、フランス、ルクセンブルグ、チェコ、イタリア、ポーランド、ポルトガル、スペイン、オランダにも流通している。

Doctors での闘病の末死亡したと、 Lipetsk Region Health Minister が述べた。同地域では3例目のキノコ中毒による死亡例となった。これまでに52歳男性と73歳女性が死亡している。いずれも、食用キノコと間違われやすく、もっとも危険なキノコである the death cap による食中毒である。
