・ 2026年3月以降、原因不明のインフルエンザ様疾患 An unclassified flu-like febrile illness が Boni Forest, Lamu County, Kenya の6つの村 に拡がっている。
・ Kiangwe Village において発症から1週間後の4月18日の5歳の小児1名が死亡したとみられている。
・ 主に5歳未満の小児と60歳以上の高齢者が罹患し、高熱、倦怠感、粘液排出・咳嗽・嘔吐を伴うインフルエンザ様症状などの症状がみられている。
・ 約600戸の Kiangwe Village ではほぼ全家庭に1人以上の患者がいる; Mangai でも200戸のうちの30戸以上; Basuba でも 15 of 90 households に患者が発生している。
・ 初期検査でマラリアは除外されており、検体が the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) に送られ検査が行われている。
・ the six affected villages のうち2つの村 (Kiangwe and Mangai) だけに医療施設 operational dispensaries (basic health clinics staffed by nurses or clinical officers) がある; その他の医療施設は2014年の during Al-Shabaab attacks により閉鎖されている。

・ 新たに3例のヒトの鳥インフルエンザ感染例 cases of human infection with avian influenza A(H9N2) virus が、 WHO in the Western Pacific Region from 10 to 16 Apr 2026 に報告された。いずれも10歳未満の中国の小児である。
・ 1例目は広東省の持病のある5歳男児で、2月23日に発症し重症肺炎で入院となったが、3月25日に退院した。
・ 2例目は雲南省の2歳女児で3月3日に発症した。3例目は江西省の2歳男児で、3月20日に発症した。いずれも軽症のため入院は必要なかった。
・ 1例目と2例目には家きんとの直接の接触が、3例目は直接の接触がないものの家族がよく訪れる市場の生きた家きんを売る店の環境中で H9 亜型ウイルスが陽性だった。
・ 3人の濃厚接触者の中で、新たな感染例は確認されていない。

Key findings
・ Aysen region, Chile で養殖漁業会社で働く運転手2名が2026年4月中旬にハンタウイルスに感染し、31歳の Quellon の男性が病院 Guillermo Grant Benavente Hospital in Concepcion で死亡した。Carelmapu の62歳の男性は Hospital del Torax in Santiago 病院に入院し、今も人工呼吸器が装着された重症である。
・ 調査により、運転していた車 the vessel itself で曝露したことが示されている。
・ チリ国内のハンタウイルスについては、4月20日に Los Lagos Region, associated with outdoor activities in Cochamo の最新の感染例が報告された、わずか1日後の報告となった。

・ the department of Antioquia, Colombia において、エムポックス a case of mpox clade Ib が確認されたと 2026年4月19日にコロンビア保健当局 Colombia's Ministry of Health (MinSalud) and the NIH が報告した。
・ サーベイランス sentinel surveillance in Antioquia を通じて検出されたもので polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing at the NIH followed by genomic sequencing confirming subclade Ib で確認された。
・ 2022年から2026年第13週までに、国内で 4825 confirmed mpox cases が報告されているが、すべて clade II であり、国内初の感染例 this the first identified clade Ib case in the country となる。
○ 侵襲性髄膜炎菌感染症 ベトナム

Key findings
・ 3例の髄膜炎菌感染症が疑われる症例 suspected cases of meningococcal disease が収容所内 Cai Tau Prison in Khanh An commune, Ca Mau province, Viet Nam で確認され、2例については4月10日に高次検査機関 the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City で髄膜炎菌 Neisseria meningitidis が確定診断された。
・ 1例目は31歳男性で、4月7日に倦怠感、激しい嘔吐、頸部硬直とそれに続く皮下出血の症状を発症し、2例目は複数の持病のある66歳男性で高熱、倦怠感、頻呼吸、昏睡の症状となり、4月9日死亡した。
・ 収容所内 within Cai Tau Prison で起居を共にしており、高熱、皮下出血、血圧低下の症状があるも髄膜炎菌は検査されないまま死亡した患者と、3月中旬に接触していた。
・ 2350人の濃厚接触者に対し、0.5g Azithromycin の予防投薬が実施されている。
・ 初発例の確認から10日間に新たな感染例は報告されておらず、4月20日に Ministry of Health Decision No. 3897/QD-BYT に従ってアウトブレイク終息が宣言された。
