Key findings
・ Ulsan Metropolitan City の70代男性が4月21日，2026年国内初の重症熱性血小板減少症候群の症例 South Korea's first severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS) case と診断された。
・ Ulju County のガーデンでの作業後の4月14日に発熱 (38.0°C)，筋肉痛，悪寒と食欲低下の症状を発症した。
・ 発症前，Nam District and Ulju County in Ulsan の野菜農園での作業，ハイキング，ウォーキングなどを行っていた。
・ 2013年以降，SFTS は届出感染症に指定されており，2025年までに累計2345例が報告され，422例が死亡し，致死率は18.0%である。
・2025年，全国で280 cases ： North Gyeongsang recording 45 cases (16.1%), Gyeonggi 42 cases (15.0%), and Gangwon 31 cases (11.1%) (KCDA dashboard) が報告されており，Ulsan では70歳以上の6例を含む8例が報告されている。
・ 2025年の70歳以上の症例は 156 cases (55.7%) in 2025, followed by 73 cases in those aged 60–69 years であり，症状として発熱 87.5% of cases, 悪寒 31.9%, 筋肉痛 30.1%, 下痢 29.4% を訴えている。

・ 2026年4月13日，保健省 Cameroon's Ministry of Health から百日咳アウトブレイク a pertussis outbreak in Kolofata health district, Far North Region が報告され，初発例は3月26日に確認されていた。
・ As of 13 Apr 2026, 120例の suspected cases が確認され 22 samples (18.3% testing rate) が解析され，6例が polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing at the Pasteur Institute of Cameroon で確定診断 (27.3% positivity rate) された。確定診断例はすべて5歳以下の乳幼児で，死亡および入院は報告されていない。
・ 発生地域における5価ワクチンの接種率 Pentavalent 3 (Penta 3) vaccination coverage in the affected region は，54.1% for January–March 2026 であり，the WHO-recommended >90% threshold を大きく下回っている。

〇 食中毒 インド
Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat の農村部における2件の結婚式関連の食中毒 foodborne illness events により，388人が発病し，Amroha で1名が死亡，Dahod の5名が危険な状態となっている。

・ 結婚式に関連する2件の別々の食中毒により，across Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat で388人以上が体調を崩し，Amroha の高齢者1名が死亡し，Dahod の5名が危険な状態となっている。
・1件目は Kamalpur Kazi village, Amroha district, Uttar Pradesh で発生し，4月19日の pre-wedding ceremony で出された食事から24時間以内に150人以上が発病し，高齢の女性1名が死亡した。
・ 2件目は Abhlod village, Dahod district, Gujarateで発生し，4月20日の結婚披露宴のあと 238人が食中毒 food poisoning の症状を発症した。59人が入院となり，5人が深刻な状態となっている。
〇 サルモネラ感染症 米国
庭先飼育の家きんが関係するサルモネラ感染症アウトブレイク Salmonella Saintpaul outbreak により，13州の34人が感染し高い割合で入院となった。

・ 聞き取り調査を行った29例中 23例 (79%) が発症前の庭先飼育の家きん backyard poultry (chickens and ducks) との接触を報告し，traceback data で 13 of 14 poultry owners が2026年1月1日以降に家きんを購入していた。
・ 遺伝子解析 Whole-genome sequencing により，患者からの細菌検体が近い関係 closely related にあることから共通の感染源が示唆され，オハイオ州の家きん backyard poultry in Ohio がアウトブレイク菌 the outbreak strain と一致する菌を保有していた。
