「特に脆弱な部族集団の1つ（,a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group）」である、The Baiga community (PVTG) は、その古来からの習慣 its ancient practices and rituals で知られ、しばしば近代医学より信仰による治療を選ぶ faith healing over modern medicine ことが多い。複数の村々 some villages of the tribal community in Madhya Pradesh’s Balaghat district において過去45日間に、皮膚症状のあるモンスーンが関係する病気のアウトブレイク an outbreak of monsoon related diseases で、7人の小児が命を落とし、約100人も体調を崩している。辺境地でアクセスが限られた上に儀式的治療に信頼を置くコミュニティである。
当局によれば、the Baiga tribe のおよそ5か所の村から、6月以降1歳から13歳までの100例のマラリアと腸チフス cases of malaria, typhoid、ウイルス感染症、皮膚感染症が報告されており、高熱、胃腸感染症、体中の発疹などの症状が見られている。
The villages are Bondari, Adori, Machhurda, Korka and Kundekasa in Baihar tehsil, about 85 kilometres from the district hospital.

・ In week 30, the number of new confirmed cases decreased from 20 in epi week 29 of 2026 to 17. These were reported in Ondo, Bauchi, Edo and Benue States
・ Cumulatively, 237 deaths have been reported with a Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of 23.7%, which is higher than the CFR for the same period in 2025 (18.8%).
・ In total for 2026, 23 States have recorded at least one confirmed case across 116 Local Government Areas.
・ Eighty-six percent (86%) of all confirmed Lassa fever cases were reported from 5 states(Ondo, Bauchi, Taraba, Edo and Benue) while fourteen percent (14%) were reported from18 states with confirmed Lassa fever cases. Of the 86% confirmed cases, Ondo reported32%, Bauchi 25%, Taraba 13%, Edo 10% and Benue 6%.

公衆衛生サーベイランス当局 The Public Health Surveillance Service により確認された麻疹感染例 several cases of measles in Mallorca が6例となった。同時期の感染で同じ病院で治療を受けていることから、症例間の関連性があると考えられるが、感染源は医療現場以外で a community outbreak に分類される。
疫学調査により、発端となった症は7月19日に病院の小児救急外来 the pediatric emergency department of Son Espases Hospital を受診した患者と特定され、二次感染例は7月末に発症した。
基本的にワクチン未接種者が感染しており、6例のうちの5例がワクチンを接種したことがなく、もう1例は接種した記録が確認できなかった。
