China: One case of human infection with avian Influenza A(H9N2) reported in Beijing Municipality

From 21 to 27 August 2026、新たに1例のヒトの鳥インフルエンザ感染例 a new case of human infection with avian influenza A(H9N2) virus が WHO in the Western Pacific Region に報告された。北京市 Beijing Municipality, China の小児患者で、2026年8月15日に発症し、その後回復した。生きた家きんを売る市場との接触があり、濃厚接触者の中で新たな感染波確認されていない。
2015年以降、合計179例の cases of human infection with avian influenza A(H9N2), including two deaths (both with underlying conditions) が WHO in the Western Pacific Region の報告があり、うち176例が中国、2例がカンボジア、1例がベトナムから報告された。

ヒトの感染例 human infections with avian influenza A(H9N2) の大部分が、 家きんへ暴露 exposure to infected poultry or contaminated poultry environments に関係し、ほとんどが軽症例である。家きんの間で H9N2 viruses の感染循環がある地域では、引き続きヒトの感染例が散発する可能性がある。現時点で H9N2 viruses がヒトからヒトに感染する能力を得ている証拠はなく、市中での感染拡大 further community-level spread のリスクは低いままである。

DR Congo Ebola epidemic passes 6000 cases

コンゴ民主共和国における史上最悪のエボラ出血熱アウトブレイクにより、6000例以上の感染と3000例近い死亡が記録されていることが、8月31日の当局からの最新の数字で明らかになった。今回のアウトブレイクの原因は the Bundibugyo strain of the virus で治療薬やワクチンはない。6か所の地域 across six provinces in the DRC's restive north and east に感染が拡大し、2911 people, out of the 6041 cases confirmed since the epidemic began が死亡している。the Congolese health authorities によると、 the Bundibugyo variant はしばしば初期症状が軽症にみえることから、確認が難しいとされる。過去のアウトブレイク the DRC's previous Ebola epidemics のほとんどが the Zaire strain of the virus によるものであった。

the epidemiological week 34 of 2026 の期間の4,610例の呼吸器感染症ウイルス感染例 cases of respiratory viruses について解析を行ったところ、1-4歳の年齢層の頻度が高い a predominance in the 1-4 year age group (24.9%) ことが判った。
解析された症例のうち 2,668 were positive (57.9%) であり、前週 epidemiological week 33 of 2026 (56.2%) から微増していた。
The total number of confirmed respiratory viruses during epidemiological week 34 was 3,095, with the following distribution:
– Rhinovirus: 1,037 (33.5%), most frequently in the 1-4 year age group.
– RSV: 855 (27.6%)
– Metapneumovirus: 417 (13.5%)
– Influenza B: 394 (12.7%)
– Influenza A: 127 (4.1%)
– Adenovirus: 112 (3.6%)
– Parainfluenza: 87 (2.8%)
– OVR: 61 (2.0%)
– SARS-CoV-2: 5 (0.2%)
The cumulative distribution up to week 34 of 2026 is: Rhinovirus (36.1%), Influenza A (16.5%), Influenza B (11.7%), Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) (11.5%), Parainfluenza (5.9%), Adenovirus (Adv) (5.6%), SARS-CoV-2 (5.3%), Metapneumovirus (4.5%) and OVR (2.9%).

11 contract tuberculosis after surgeries at Pabna hospital

私立病院 a private hospital named Al-Madina Lab and Hospital in Faridpur upazila of Pabna で手術を受けた患者のうち、11人が結核 tuberculosis に感染したとみられている。同一の病院で受けた手術創に合併症が生じたと患者らは訴えている。保健当局 the upazila health department は3人からなる調査委員会を立ち上げた。
患者の親類の1人は、患者は5月31日に帝王切開で受けたが術創が治癒せず、医療機関を受診し複数回の検査で結核と診断されたと述べている。11人の患者のうち10人が帝王切開の術後に結核と診断され、もう1人は胆嚢摘出後の患者である。
