・Emilia-Romagna and Veneto において4件のクラスター clusters of local transmission が確認されている。最大のクラスターは 85 confirmed cases in a municipality of Modena Province である。
・イタリアの感染例の年齢の中央値は60.5歳; 51 percent が男性で死亡例の報告なし。
・感染例の大部分が症候性で、発熱、関節痛が主な症状であった。高齢成人および持病のある場合は重症化リスクが高い。
・イタリア血液センター The Italian National Blood Centre は予防的対応として、9月1日以降の Soliera での献血受付の一時停止などの対策を実施している。

Seasonal surveillance of chikungunya virus disease in the EU/EEA, weekly report
Epidemiological summary
2025年初から9月3日までの期間に、欧州内の2か国: フランス France (301) and イタリア Italy (107) からチクングニア感染例 cases of chikungunya virus disease が報告されている。
先週、フランスから新たに 74例の地域内感染例 new locally acquired1 cases of chikungunya virus disease が報告され、フランス国内の累積の地域内感染例は 301例, distributed across 34 clusters となった。現在活動性があるクラスターは25件 Twenty-five clusters あり、 The largest cluster は Vitrolles の 47 cases のクラスターである。
イタリアは新たに44例のチクングニア new locally acquired cases of chikungunya virus disease を報告し、地域内感染例は合計107例, distributed across seven clusters となった。
現在活動性のあるクラスターは6件 Six clusters で、The largest cluster は Carpi, San Prospero and Soliera, and consists of 85 cases である。
● 百日咳 米国 (LOUISIANA, OREGON, NEVADA)
Summary
ルイジアナ州で35年ぶりに最悪の百日咳アウトブレイクが発生している。保健当局は、特に妊娠女性と乳児に対してワクチン接種を強く勧めている。

Summary
アルゼンチン国内で毎年約100例がハンタウイルスに感染する常在地域となっているが、Buenos Aires など都市及び都市周辺部での感染伝播が拡大し、新たな脅威となっている。
San Martín de los Andes, Argentina では、ハンタウイルスの中でも致死率が高く、ヒト－ヒト感染のおそれのある Andes virus による死亡が発生している。
Key Findings
・San Martín de los Andes, Argentina の44歳女性がハンタウイルス感染により死亡し、the Andes virus (ANDV) strain と確認された。
・発生したのは the Andes virus の常在地域として知られている a region of Patagonia であり、唯一の死亡例 a single confirmed fatal case in San Martín de los Andes であるが、病原体の特徴から特別な注意が必要である。
・患者は最近、Andes virus (ANDV) ウイルスを保有するラット Oligoryzomys longicaudatus, the long-tailed pygmy rice rat が多く生息する森林地域にハイキングに行っていた。
・地域内では2例目の死亡 the second fatal hantavirus case in San Martín de los Andes in 2025, following the death of Oscar Fabián Tripailaf, a 38-year-old man, on April 17, 2025, with ten close contacts placed under 45-day isolation and monitoring.

・2025年6月から9月初めまでに新たに29例 new cases cross nine EU/EEA countries から報告され、過去同様、夏季のピークが認められた。

Overview:

From 1 January 2023 to 4 September 2025 の期間に合計 289例 confirmed cases of S.
Strathcona ST2559 in 19 EU/EEA countries: オーストリア Austria (59), クロアチア Croatia (3), チェコ Czechia (11), デンマーク Denmark (10), エストニア Estonia (1), ドイツ Germany (68), フィンランド Finland (3), フランス France (24), アイルランド Ireland (3), イタリア Italy (78), ルクセンブルグ Luxembourg (2), オランダ the Netherlands (4), ノルウェー Norway (4), スロバキア Slovakia (5), スロベニア Slovenia (8), スウェーデン Sweden (6).
EU圏外の3か国 three countries outside the EU/EEA: the UK (29), the US (8), and Canada (5) で渡航関連の症例 travel-associated casesが確認され、もっとも関連のあった渡航先はイタリアであった。
オーストリア Austria (2023) とイタリア Italy (2024) のデータから、ミニトマト small tomatoes from the Sicily region of Italy（イタリア・シチリア島）が原因食品 the vehicle of infection と結論づけられた。
遺伝学的解析 Whole genome sequencing (WGS) analyses in 2024 では、各国のアウトブレイク菌株 the outbreak strain across countries に、最近の共通する感染源 a recent common origin があることがわかった。
In 2025, between June and 4 September には、9か国で発症日が1月から8月までの29例 confirmed cases of Salmonella Strathcona ST2559 が確認されており、イタリアがもっとも多い a regional cluster を含む11例を報告している。イタリアの感染例についての限られた情報ではあるが、4例がトマトの摂取を報告している。オーストリアは、これに次ぐ upper Austria を中心に5例が報告され、1例はイタリアへの旅行を報告している。
ドイツは6例を報告し、ほとんどが渡航歴がなかった。
ほか Other countries with confirmed cases in 2025 are アイルランド Ireland (2), ノルウェー Norway (1), デンマーク Denmark (1), フランス France (1), チェコ Czechia (1), and オランダ theNetherlands (1) から報告があり、うち4例にイタリア旅行の報告があった。
ECDC assessment:
2023年1月から2025年8月までの間に、繰り返し発生し季節性のある289例 confirmed cases の報告があったアウトブレイクで、多くが夏季の特に6月から10月にかけて発生している。
各種データ Epidemiological, microbiological, and traceability investigations から、シチリア島のミニトマト small tomatoes from Sicily が the vehicle of infection for the outbreak in 2023-2024 と特定された。
2025年にふたたび発生した症例は、渡航歴のない患者も含まれており、感染伝播が継続し、イタリアを超えた汚染のある食品の流通があることが示唆されている。
今回のアウトブレイクで乳糖発酵菌 lactose fermenting isolates 分離の報告があり、これは通常のサルモネラ菌ではなく、一般的な選択培地でのサルモネラ菌同定に影響する可能性がある。従って、本来の感染例より少ない報告数である可能性がある。
季節的な汚染のある食品が流通する限り、新たな感染リスクが続くおそれがある。
当局は、イタリア産ミニトマトが新たな感染の原因となっていないか、継続して調査することを勧める。加えて、S. Strathcona による汚染が起きているポイントの特定のため、環境要因についても調査する必要がある。

Summary
Between June and August 2025 の期間にネパール国内で 118例の日本脳炎 confirmed Japanese Encephalitis cases と 23例の死亡 deaths across 36 districts が報告され、最も死者数が多いのは40歳以上の成人であり、8月中旬に突然のピークとなる33例の感染と3例の死亡が報告された。ワクチン不足により十分な接種が行われていない。

2025年8月31日の時点で、ネパール国内で118 laboratory-confirmed Japanese encephalitis cases and 23 deaths が報告されており、6月初めに始まったアウトブレイクにおいて、前週の 103 cases and 20 deaths から大幅に増加した。
18 districts (as of 12 Aug) to 36 districts across all seven provinces. Lumbini Province has the highest number of confirmed cases (39), followed by Bagmati (18), Gandaki (18), and Koshi で発生が確認されている。

Japanese Encephalitis claims three more lives in Nepal, death toll reaches 23
Nepal has reported three more deaths from Japanese Encephalitis (JE), raising the death toll to 23 this year.
The latest victims include a 72-year-old woman from Syangja and two others, whose details are yet to be confirmed.
