Ebola disease outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda

On 20 August 2026、コンゴ民主共和国内で 5 290例の confirmed cases, including 2 516 related deaths (from data up until 19 August) が報告されている。
8月18日までの報告以後、新たに81例 new confirmed cases and 40 deaths が、 Ituri (56 cases), North Kivu (18 cases), and Haut Uele (seven cases) から報告された。
Bundibugyo virus 検査陽性例のうち1 152 have recovered（回復した）。
Ituri province は依然として the most affected, with 4 447 cases, including 1 984 deaths の状況にあり28 of 36 health zones が感染を報告している。
North Kivu, 663 cases, including 452 deaths, have been reported from 12 of 34 health zones.
South Kivu, three cases, including one death, have been reported from one of 34 health zones.
Haut-Uele, 160 cases (including 71 deaths) have been reported from six of 13 health zones.
Tshopo, 15 cases (including seven deaths) have been reported from seven of 23 health zones.
Bas Uele, two cases (including one death) have been reported from two of 11 health zones.
Overall, 56 of 151 health zones are currently affected across the six provinces.

To date, the Ebola disease outbreak in DRC has been confirmed in Haut-Uele, Ituri, Nord-Kivu (North Kivu), Sud-Kivu (South Kivu), and Tshopo provinces.
Cases related to the DRC outbreak also have been reported in Uganda's capital of Kampala.

2例のヒトの豚インフルエンザ human infections with influenza A(H1N2) variant (A(H1N2)v) virus が、ミシガン州保健当局 the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services から報告されている。18歳未満の患者で、during the week ending August 15, 2026 (Week 32) に発症し医療機関を受診した。入院はせず、1例は抗インフルエンザ薬による治療を受け、2例とも回復している。お互いの接触歴は確認されておらず、同じ農業フェアを訪れていた。同フェアに関係する、他の感染例は確認されていない No additional cases of human infection with A(H1N2)v virus associated with these cases or the fair have been identified.

San Lazaro Hospital records 3 leptospirosis deaths in 12 days
