Two New Cases of Malaria Near Frankfurt Airport

フランクフルトにおいて新たに2例の熱帯熱マラリア additional cases of malaria tropica in Frankfurt が確認されたと、公衆衛生当局 The Frankfurt am Main Institute for Infectious Diseases ( Public Health Authority ) が9月15日に報告した。2例の患者はともに、空港周辺の the Schwanheim neighborhood の住民である。熱帯熱マラリア the malaria pathogen Plasmodium falciparum に感染したこの患者らは空港には勤務しておらず、これまでマラリアが常在する地域 a malaria-endemic area へ旅行したこともなかった。公衆衛生当局は引き続き2人の感染経路を調べている。
7月初旬以降、フランクフルト空港 Frankfurt Airport における勤務中に6人がマラリア malaria に感染し、うち5人は7月上旬に、残る1人は8月中旬に発症した。このうち2人の患者が死亡している。6人はいずれも、過去にマラリア常在地域 a malaria-endemic area を旅行したり輸血を受けたりしたことはなかった。

North Darfur において小児の間で原因不明の疾患が拡大しており、救急室 The Abdel Shakour Emergency Room には複数の小児の原因不明の疾患の患者の受診があり、まだ診断が付いていない。現地や難民キャンプ the local community and three displacement camps in Abdel Shakour の親たちは、子供から子供にうつったと話している。身体のあざや痛み bruising and sores on the body の症状がみられている。
これとは別に the Farang East Emergency Room in Kutum locality では、1万人近い人々の、干ばつ・小雨・農業の壊滅による危機的状況 a worsening humanitarian crisis に直面している。

Darma Rural Municipality において100人以上の検査陽性となっており、医療機関で1日3から4例が確認されている。Darma Rural Municipality in Salyan では過去3週間に4人がツツガムシ病 scrub typhus で死亡し、100人以上が検査で陽性となり患者は増えている。患者の一部は治療のため hospitals in Dang and Nepalgunj に搬送を余儀なくされた。
市保健当局者 chief of the health section at the rural municipality によると8月後半に3人が死亡し、もう1人は hospitals in Dang and Nepalgunj において治療中に死亡し、いずれの患者もツツガムシ病検査で陽性が確認された。
ある医療従事者 a health worker at Bhalchaur Health Post は、通常患者は1日15人から20人だが、アウトブレイク開始後は30人まで増えたと述べている。
